Book a visit

Bunny Besties has now once again begun booking to travel within our
community to do the work we love. We were busy little bunnies spreading
all kinds of 'hoppiness' around town. Then the pandemic happened and
all of us are still recovering. Thanks though to science and vaccinations
we are able to hop to it once again!

We hope this page will help you to get acquainted with us. Please take the
time to scroll all the way down the page and learn all you can. We are booking
for summer and into fall.

Hop to it. Let's get you on our calendar!

The Bunny Besties that came to visit were terrific with the residents. The rabbits were so sweet. The residents reactions were priceless...of course, some were easier to react than others. One resident who has not said more than one word at a time for months said, 'Where did you get that?" Not just once but = Two Times!!!!! Thank you Bunny Besties, we hope you will come monthly to visit us. It is truly a gift to our memory care residents."

Thank you so much for visiting with our residents at Masonic Homes. Your rabbits do a wonderful job and you have a great gift for working with the residents here as well. Thank you for the beautiful bedside visit yesterday with Margie by her favorite bunny. She passed away yesterday evening a few hours after you left. I am so glad she got to hold that bunny one more time."

We are ready to visit again

Bunny Besties is excited to announce that we are coming out of our burrow!

We all have been hiding during this very scary pandemic. Some of us thought it never would be safe again. The good news is it is and we already have one visit under our belt and we are opening our calendar to do many more visits to those hit the hardest by the stress of COVID19,

Nursing homes were hit hard in Minnesota and the stress of it has been devastating. As Bunny Besties trained every Sunday afternoon
throughout we talked of when we would be able to take the therapy rabbits back out to our friends in the senior living facilities to spread 'hoppiness.' The time has now arrived with facility staff and residents vaccinated.

You can rest assured that all of our volunteers have gotten their first vaccine but many of us are on our second and fully vaccinated. Our rabbits too have gotten their full veterinary health certification and they are ready to visit too. We can be counted on to continue COVID safety at all times in your facility.

We put together a video for you to view below to view our new offering of a rabbit agility show. You can see our practices and our visit on April 3, 2021. We hope it makes you excited to book our 'hoppiness' for your special event!

Services offered

Bunny Besties Grand event   $450 - one hour and a half (indoor only)

We have been training all through the pandemic to bring our new and improved visit to your senior living facility. Our highly trained rabbits will wow your residents with their hopping abilities. The video above shows you exactly how charming and special this event will be.

There are five agility rabbits, six volunteers and three cars full of equipment. We will need the largest room at your facility to spread out. Set up will begin 45 minutes before and the show will last for an hour with visits for a half hour after. Afterwards tear down and clean up usually takes us another 45 minutes. On hand will also be some therapy rabbits just for visits with residents.

There is something for everyone and is sure to delight! We prefer to book these events for Sunday early afternoons.

Bunny cuddle Group visit  $225 - one hour (indoor only)

Bunny Besties rabbits are highly trained. They are trained in Animal Assisted Interactions (AAI) and Animal Assisted Activities (AAA). Our rabbits are ready to come and visit your group of 10 to 15 residents for cuddles and love. We would arrive with two to three volunteers and up to six therapy rabbits. This visit would be for an hour at your facility. There is not much set up time or clean up just about fifteen minutes on each side of the hour. This is a wonderful up close and personal visit especially loved by the animal lovers missing contact with a pet.

Bedside Bunnies Visit   $75 - half hour (indoor only)

We are happy to come and do a bedside bunny visit in a facility to someone who is dealing with a critical or life-threatening illness. Please contact us to schedule.

Please note: Bunny Besties only does indoor events with our rabbits. Domesticated rabbits are highly susceptible to temperature changes and especially heat. They are also very susceptible to illnesses that are transmitted outdoors through insects and other animals. Currently there is a pandemic in North America putting wild and domesticated rabbits at great risk. We work hard keeping our rabbits happy and healthy so they stay indoors and are quarantined. Thank you for understanding our indoor only policy.
